As of January 2012, NYPA has provided over $173.3 million in benefits to Western New York in support of its operating License for the Niagara Power Project.  These benefits include monetary payments, power allocations and recreational and environmental improvements constructed by NYPA.  .

 Tuscarora Scholarship Program

The Tuscarora Nation and the New York Power Authority agreed to institute a scholarship program as one of the measures of their Niagara relicensing settlement agreement.  The Tuscarora Nation has sole discretion in selecting scholarship recipients.  For the convenience of eligible applicants, a link to the Tuscarora Nation’s 2009/2010 scholarship application form is provided below:
