Subject: Bell Slip call Friday 10 AM
Importance: High

Dear GESC members,

We have settled on a time for discussion of the Bell Slip restoration project: this Friday, April 3, at 10 AM.  Ed Alkiewicz has agreed to set up the call. Thanks Ed, and please go ahead and provide everyone with the call-in information. Jill Jedlicka and I will facilitate the meeting.

In order to keep the call to an hour, we'd like to forward all questions to the NFTA/DEC project proponents beforehandl. If your questions are not captured on the agenda below, please forward them to me by noon Thursday.

We propose that the next step after the call is for GESC members to convene early next week via email to vote on this proposal. Again, the full proposal is at www.niagaragreenway.org under "submitted projects."

Thanks,

Margaret and Jill

AGENDA

1.    Project overview - Marty Doster

2.    Project questions - Jill and I will moderate. These may include (if not already addressed):

        -    What is the project's chance of success?

        -    How does it address GESC funding guidelines which prioritize ecological enhancements and require O and M plans (or a reason why one is not needed)?

        -    How much of the work and plantings that remain intact can be preserved?

        -    What happens to the project when the NFTA property changes hands?

        -    Other (as forwarded)

3.    Process questions

        -    Is there flexibility in the design ?

        -    How long can they hold the match funds on conditional approval?
