INVOLVING
NY POWER AUTHORITY AND STATE PARKS

LEWISTON—The New York Power
Authority (NYPA) and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic
Preservation (OPRHP) will host a meeting for a working presentation of Niagara
Gorge projects on February 4, 2010 at 7pm in the Community Room of the Power
Vista, the NYPA visitors center in Lewiston.
The public is welcome to attend.
Topics to be discussed include
concepts for site upgrades at the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center and a new
access trail along the Niagara Gorge Trails to connect two new scenic
overlooks. The proposed locations for

The planned work is a cooperative
effort between NYPA and OPRHP, and comes as a result of one of several
settlement agreements related to the new license NYPA received in 2007 for the
operation of the Niagara Power Project.
